Calendar syncing for Google Calendar and Outlook are now near-instant!

A change on Google Calendar or Outlook now shows up on your other calendars the moment you make it, including right after you connect the account. You do not wait the first few minutes, and you do not wait for the next check.

This covers Google, Outlook, and Microsoft 365. iCloud, Fastmail, and other CalDAV calendars still update on a timer, because Apple has no way to tell a calendar tool that something changed.

Realtime is part of a paid plan.

The Google and Outlook notify subscription is created when you connect the account, not on a later sweep.

Fixed

The site and the changelog now say that Google and Outlook changes landing within seconds are part of a paid plan.
A Google or Outlook calendar you have connected as a source now actually notifies when something changes.
Connecting a destination after you turn that calendar on now creates it.
Reconnecting a destination no longer adds a second one.
