A copied event shows the name of the calendar it came from in place of the real title, and no description or location. That is the default on every plan. Two sections on the calendar the events come from decide it: Sync Settings for what each copy says, and Exclusions for which events are copied at all.
Both apply to every calendar those events are sent to. Both are Pro features — on Free the defaults hold, and the dashboard says so where the settings would be.
Sync Settings
Sync Event Name decides whether the real title travels. It starts off, so copies carry a stand-in title until you turn it on.
Event Name sets that stand-in, and starts out as {{calendar_name}}. Two templates work: {{event_name}} for the real title and {{calendar_name}} for the name of the calendar the event came from. Plain text works too — "Busy" is a fine answer. {{calendar_name}} earns its keep when copies from several calendars land in one place.
Sync Event Description and Sync Event Location do the same job for the meeting notes and the address.
On a calendar subscribed from a link, one extra toggle appears. Some events cover a whole day but are stored with times, and Sync Full-Day Events as All-Day makes their copies real all-day events.
Exclusions
Exclusions leave whole categories of event out of the copy:
- Exclude All Day Events — for the birthdays, holidays and all-day markers that clutter a work calendar
- Exclude Focus Time Events and Exclude Out of Office Events — on Google calendars, for the blocks Google creates as their own event types
An excluded event is not copied. Exclude a category later and its existing copies are removed too.
What Free gets
Free keeps the private defaults and cannot change them. Every copy is named after the calendar it came from. The notes and address stay behind on the original.
Pro makes those three settings editable, so Pro is what lets detail through. A shareable calendar link applies the same idea to a link you hand out. Its events read "Busy" instead of carrying the calendar's name.
